Description

Dapaking-M 10/500 XR Tablet combines two complementary antidiabetic agents to achieve optimal glycemic control in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM):

Dapagliflozin is a SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by inhibiting renal glucose reabsorption, promoting glucose excretion through urine, and contributing to modest weight loss and blood pressure reduction.

Metformin XR is a biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production, enhances insulin sensitivity, and improves peripheral glucose utilization with improved gastrointestinal tolerance.

This once-daily extended-release formulation supports convenient dosing and sustained glucose control throughout the day.

Warnings and Precautions

Lactic Acidosis: Possible with Metformin; avoid in renal dysfunction or dehydration.

Genital/Urinary Infections: May occur with Dapagliflozin; counsel on hygiene.

Volume Depletion: Monitor fluid status and renal function.

Euglycemic Ketoacidosis: Rare but serious; discontinue if symptoms appear.

Weight Loss and BP Reduction: Common, usually beneficial.

Adverse Effects

Common: Polyuria, nausea, diarrhea, genital infections, headache, mild dehydration.
Occasional: Dysuria, fatigue, hypotension.
Rare but Serious: Lactic acidosis, urosepsis, ketoacidosis.
