Defcert 30 Tabs (10X10) Deflazacort 30 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Deflazacort is a corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation and control overactive immune reactions in conditions such as severe allergies, asthma, autoimmune disorders and other inflammatory conditions. It may also be prescribed for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

How does it work?
It acts like natural steroid hormones made by the body. It reduces inflammation and suppresses excessive immune activity.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with water. It may be taken with food if it causes stomach discomfort. Do not stop it suddenly, especially after prolonged use; the dose may need to be reduced gradually under medical supervision.

Common side effects
Increased appetite, weight gain, indigestion, mood changes, difficulty sleeping, acne, increased blood sugar and increased susceptibility to infections may occur.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, osteoporosis, glaucoma, liver or kidney problems, or any current infection. Avoid close contact with people who have contagious infections and check before receiving vaccines. Long-term use requires medical monitoring. Seek medical advice for signs of infection, vision changes or severe mood changes.
