Composition:

Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 10 mg

Description:

Deriphyllin DCP Syrup is a triple-action cough and cold formulation used for the relief of dry cough, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and throat irritation.

Indicated in common cold, allergic rhinitis, seasonal allergies, and upper respiratory tract infections.

Precautions:

Avoid in children below 6 years unless advised by a doctor.

Use cautiously in hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, and prostate enlargement.

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or machinery.

Avoid alcohol as it enhances sedation.

Not to be taken with MAO inhibitors or sedative medications.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use only if prescribed.

Avoid combining with other cough/cold syrups to prevent overdose.

Adverse Effects:

Drowsiness, dizziness

Dry mouth or throat

Nausea, stomach discomfort

Nervousness or restlessness

Rapid heartbeat (rare)
