Composition

Each 5 ml contains:
Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 15 mg

Description

Deriphyllin-DX Plus Syrup is a cough formulation combining an antihistamine (Chlorpheniramine), a nasal decongestant (Phenylephrine), and an antitussive (Dextromethorphan).
It helps relieve dry cough, nasal congestion, allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and throat irritation.

Precautions

Not recommended in children below the age indicated on the pack or without physician guidance.
Use with caution in patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma.
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery.
Avoid alcohol consumption during use.
Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Do not take with other cough or cold medications unless prescribed.
Avoid in patients with chronic respiratory conditions unless advised by a physician.

Adverse Effects

Drowsiness and dizziness.
Dry mouth and blurred vision.
Nausea or vomiting.
Palpitations or increased heart rate.
Restlessness and insomnia.
Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or swelling.
