Composition:

Dexamethasone 8 mg per 2 mL

Description:

DEXAPRO Injection contains Dexamethasone, a potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is used to reduce inflammation, suppress immune responses, and manage conditions such as severe allergies, asthma, arthritis, certain skin disorders, and other inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. It may also be used in the treatment of cerebral edema and certain types of shock.

Precautions:

DEXAPRO should be administered under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with diabetes, hypertension, infections, liver or kidney disorders, or a history of gastrointestinal ulcers. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed. Patients should inform their physician about all other medications to avoid potential interactions.

Adverse Effects:

Possible side effects include increased blood sugar, fluid retention, mood changes, gastrointestinal upset, and increased susceptibility to infections. Long-term use may lead to osteoporosis or adrenal suppression. Severe allergic reactions are rare.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
