What is it used for?
Diclofenac sodium 50 mg is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in conditions such as muscle and joint pain, arthritis, sprains, and other painful inflammatory conditions.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of substances called prostaglandins that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food, and swallow the tablet with water. Do not take more than the prescribed amount or combine it with other diclofenac or NSAID medicines unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, and gas.

Precautions
Tell a doctor if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, asthma triggered by painkillers, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems. Avoid use during the last three months of pregnancy unless specifically advised. Seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, chest pain, breathing difficulty, or facial swelling.
