What is it used for?
Dicyclomine is used to relieve stomach and intestinal cramps or spasms, including symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

How does it work?
It relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestines by reducing abnormal muscle spasms, helping to relieve cramping and pain.

How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. If supplied as an injection, it should be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-inject or use more than prescribed.

Common side effects
Dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, nausea, constipation and difficulty passing urine.

Precautions
Use with medical advice if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine or prostate enlargement, bowel blockage, severe ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis, or liver or kidney problems. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizzy or drowsy. Seek medical help for severe confusion, a fast heartbeat, inability to urinate, breathing difficulty or swelling of the face or throat.
