What is it used for?
Drotaverine is used to relieve painful spasms or cramps in the smooth muscles of the stomach and intestines, such as abdominal cramps. It may also be used for spasmodic menstrual, urinary or biliary pain when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It relaxes the smooth muscles in internal organs, helping reduce spasms and cramp-like pain.

How to take/use it
Take it only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food. Do not take more than recommended.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, nausea, constipation, low blood pressure or palpitations may occur. Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible.

Precautions
Use only with medical advice if there is low blood pressure or severe liver, kidney or heart disease. Tell the doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving if dizzy.
