What is it used for?
Cinnarizine is used to prevent and relieve motion sickness and to help manage vertigo, dizziness and related balance problems caused by inner-ear disorders.

How does it work?
It reduces the excessive activity of the balance centre in the inner ear and has an antihistamine effect, helping to reduce dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Swallow with water, preferably after food if it causes stomach upset. Do not take more than recommended.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth, stomach discomfort, indigestion and weight gain may occur.

Precautions
It may cause drowsiness; avoid driving, operating machinery and alcohol until its effects are known. Use only with medical advice if there is Parkinson’s disease, as it may worsen symptoms. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if dizziness is severe, persistent or associated with fainting, weakness, severe headache or other unusual symptoms.
