Donpez M Tabs (10+5) (20X10) Donepezil Hcl 5 Mg, Memantine Hcl 10 by Elder

What is it used for?
Used to manage symptoms of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease dementia. It may help support memory, thinking and daily functioning, but it does not cure the disease.

How does it work?
Donepezil increases the availability of acetylcholine, a chemical involved in memory and thinking. Memantine helps protect brain cells from the effects of excessive glutamate activity.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the doctor, at the same time each day. It may be taken with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, dizziness, headache, sleep problems, constipation and tiredness.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about heart rhythm problems, a slow heartbeat or fainting, asthma or chronic breathing problems, seizures, stomach ulcers or bleeding, urinary blockage, or kidney disease. Use caution with other medicines that affect heart rate or brain function. Seek medical help for fainting, severe vomiting, black stools, breathing difficulty or a seizure.
