What is it used for?
Doxycycline injection is an antibiotic used to treat certain serious bacterial infections. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
It stops susceptible bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply.

How to take/use it
This medicine is given by injection into a vein by a doctor or trained healthcare professional. The dose and treatment duration depend on the type and severity of the infection and should be decided by the prescriber. Do not self-inject.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, increased sensitivity to sunlight, and pain or irritation at the injection site may occur.

Precautions
