Description:

DOXYTECH 100 Injection contains Doxycycline, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing the growth and spread of susceptible bacteria. It is commonly used for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.

Precautions:

DOXYTECH should be administered under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with liver or kidney impairment and in those with a history of hypersensitivity to tetracyclines. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a physician. Patients should inform their doctor of any other medications to avoid potential drug interactions. Exposure to direct sunlight should be minimized as Doxycycline may increase photosensitivity.

Adverse Effects:

Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and photosensitivity. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or itching may occur. Prolonged use may cause superinfections.
