What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of pain and inflammation, especially in muscle, joint and arthritis-related conditions.

How does it work?
Diclofenac reduces the substances that cause pain and inflammation. Paracetamol helps relieve pain and fever through a different action.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food and with water. Do not take more often or for longer than advised. Do not combine it with other medicines containing paracetamol, diclofenac or similar painkillers unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness or headache.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma triggered by painkillers, or an allergy to NSAID painkillers. Avoid alcohol, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy; seek medical advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop and seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe rash, breathing difficulty, chest pain, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
