What is it used for?
Sildenafil 100 mg is used to treat erectile dysfunction (difficulty getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sexual activity) in adult men. It does not increase sexual desire and works only when there is sexual stimulation.

How does it work?
It helps relax blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow during sexual stimulation and helping produce an erection.

How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Do not take more than prescribed or use it more often than directed. It is not suitable for everyone; follow the prescribed instructions carefully.

Common side effects
Headache, facial flushing, indigestion, blocked or runny nose, dizziness, and visual changes such as blurred vision or altered colour vision.

Precautions
Do not use with nitrate medicines for chest pain or riociguat, as this can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. Tell the doctor about heart disease, low blood pressure, recent stroke or heart attack, liver or kidney problems, or if taking alpha-blockers or other medicines for erectile dysfunction. Seek urgent medical help for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, sudden loss of vision or hearing, chest pain, or severe dizziness.
