Composition
Each vial contains Cefoperazone 2 g and Sulbactam 1 g.

Description
Duocef 3 gm Injection is a combination antibiotic used for treating moderate to severe bacterial infections. Cefoperazone provides broad-spectrum antibacterial action, while Sulbactam enhances its effectiveness by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes, helping overcome resistance and improving therapeutic outcomes.

Adverse Effects
Common adverse effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, injection site pain, allergic reactions, headache and transient liver enzyme elevation. Severe reactions such as anaphylaxis or bleeding tendencies may occur rarely.

Precautions
Use with caution in patients with known cephalosporin or penicillin allergy, liver impairment, bleeding disorders or those receiving anticoagulants. Dose adjustment may be required in hepatic dysfunction. Inform the physician about all ongoing medications. Not recommended without medical supervision during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless necessary.

Storage
Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep the vial in a dry place and use reconstituted solution immediately or as directed on the pack. Keep out of reach of children.
