Dutader 0.5 Tabs (20X10) Dutasteride 0.5Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Dutasteride is used to treat an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH). It can help improve urinary symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, weak urine flow and frequent or urgent urination, and may reduce the risk of urinary retention.

How does it work?
It blocks an enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Lower DHT levels help shrink the enlarged prostate and improve urine flow.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole; do not chew or open it. Take it regularly and do not stop without medical advice.

Common side effects
Reduced sex drive, difficulty getting or maintaining an erection, ejaculation problems, breast tenderness or enlargement, and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver disease or any history of prostate problems. Dutasteride lowers PSA blood-test levels, so inform the doctor before prostate screening. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle leaking capsules, as the medicine may harm a male baby. Do not donate blood during treatment and for 6 months after the last dose. Seek medical advice for breast lumps or nipple discharge.
