Eldisalic Oint (20X20Gm) Clobetasol Propionate 0.5 % W/W, Salicylic Acid 3.0% by Elder

What is it used for?
This skin medicine is used for short-term treatment of inflamed, itchy and thickened or scaly skin conditions, such as psoriasis and some forms of eczema or dermatitis, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Clobetasol reduces skin inflammation, redness and itching. Salicylic acid softens and removes thick, scaly skin, helping the medicine reach the affected area.

How to take/use it
Use only on the skin and apply as directed by the doctor. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and wash hands after use, unless the hands are being treated. Do not use more often, for longer, or over larger areas than advised.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, irritation, dryness or peeling may occur. Prolonged or excessive use can cause thinning of the skin, stretch marks or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Do not apply to broken, infected or acne-prone skin unless advised by a doctor. Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings unless specifically instructed. Do not use on the face, groin or skin folds without medical advice. Seek medical advice if the condition worsens or does not improve. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should use it only on medical advice.
