Elloric 300 Tabs * (20X10) Allopurinol 300Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Allopurinol is used to lower high uric acid levels and prevent gout attacks. It may also be prescribed to prevent uric acid kidney stones or uric acid build-up during some cancer treatments.

How does it work?
It blocks an enzyme involved in making uric acid. This lowers uric acid levels in the blood and urine over time.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually regularly even when feeling well. Swallow with plenty of water, preferably after food, and do not stop it without medical advice. It does not provide immediate relief during a gout attack.

Common side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach upset, and headache may occur. A skin rash can occur and should be reported promptly.

Precautions
Stop taking it and seek urgent medical help if a rash, blistering, peeling skin, mouth sores, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty develops. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines, especially azathioprine, mercaptopurine, or certain blood thinners. Drink adequate fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised.
