Emenorm Inj. 2Ml Amp. (Metoclopramide Hydrochloride 5Mg ) By Intas

What is it used for?
Metoclopramide is used to prevent or treat nausea and vomiting. It may also be prescribed for slow stomach emptying and related digestive symptoms.

How does it work?
It blocks dopamine signals in the vomiting centre of the brain, helping control nausea and vomiting. It also increases movement of the upper digestive tract and helps the stomach empty more quickly.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, usually before meals if directed. Swallow with water and do not take it for longer than recommended. Do not drive or operate machinery if it causes drowsiness or dizziness.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, tiredness, dizziness, restlessness, headache and diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice, especially in children, older adults, or people with Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, depression, kidney problems or a history of involuntary movements. Avoid alcohol and check with a doctor or pharmacist before combining it with medicines that cause drowsiness. Stop using it and seek urgent medical help for uncontrolled movements, muscle stiffness, severe restlessness or unusual facial or tongue movements. It should not be used if there is suspected stomach or intestinal blockage, bleeding or perforation.
