Composition

Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate equivalent to Esomeprazole 40 mg

Description

Es-Omey 40 contains Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces gastric acid secretion.

Provides long-lasting acid suppression and symptom relief.

Precautions

Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to PPIs.

Use cautiously in those with severe liver impairment.

Long-term use may cause vitamin B12 deficiency, hypomagnesemia, or bone fractures.

Report persistent symptoms like unintended weight loss, trouble swallowing, or blood in stool.

Avoid during pregnancy/breastfeeding unless advised by doctor.

Do not crush or chew the tablet (enteric-coated).

Adverse Effects

Common: Headache, Abdominal pain, bloating, Nausea, constipation or diarrhea

Less common: Dizziness, Skin rash, Dry mouth

Rare but serious: Severe allergic reactions, Low magnesium, C. difficile–associated diarrhea

Storage

Store below 25°C.

Keep away from moisture and sunlight.

Keep tablets in original blister until use.

Keep out of reach of children.
