What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat acid reflux and heartburn, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It may also help relieve associated nausea or vomiting.

How does it work?
Esomeprazole reduces the production of stomach acid. Domperidone helps food move through the stomach and can reduce nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably before a meal. Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush, chew or open it unless advised by a doctor. Do not take it for longer than prescribed.

Common side effects
Headache, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, dry mouth and dizziness.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, liver problems, electrolyte imbalance or any history of prolonged QT interval. Domperidone can rarely cause serious heart-rhythm problems and may interact with some medicines, including certain antibiotics, antifungals and heart medicines. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, fast or irregular heartbeat, severe chest discomfort, vomiting blood or black stools. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
