Composition

Each capsule contains:

Esomeprazole 40 mg

Domperidone SR 30 mg

Description

Esorom DSR is a dual-action formulation used to manage acidity, GERD, and reflux symptoms.

Together, they relieve heartburn, regurgitation, gastritis, and acid-peptic discomfort more effectively than PPI alone.

Precautions

Avoid in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, perforation, or prolonged QT interval.

Use cautiously in patients with liver impairment.

Avoid alcohol and smoking for best results.

Do not take with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (may increase domperidone levels).

Take the capsule before meals, preferably in the morning.

Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if prescribed.

Do not crush or chew the capsule.

Adverse Effects

Common: Headache, Abdominal pain, Dry mouth, Nausea, Diarrhea or constipation

Less common: Dizziness, Rash or hypersensitivity

Rare but serious:

Palpitations or arrhythmias (due to domperidone)

Low magnesium levels with long-term PPI use

Storage

Store below 25°C.

Keep in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture.

Keep away from direct sunlight.
