What is it used for?
Used to treat acidity, heartburn and acid reflux (gastro-oesophageal reflux disease or GERD), particularly when these symptoms are associated with nausea or a feeling of fullness.

How does it work?
Esomeprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Domperidone helps improve movement of food through the stomach and can reduce nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor or according to the product label. Swallow the medicine whole with water; do not crush or chew it unless specifically instructed. Do not change the dose or duration without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, dry mouth and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, liver disease, or low potassium or magnesium levels. Domperidone may cause serious heart-rhythm problems and should not be used with certain medicines; mention all prescription and non-prescription medicines being taken. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, severe dizziness or a fast or irregular heartbeat. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for prolonged treatment.
