Ezitmide 10 Tabs (10X10) Ezetimibe 10Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Ezetimibe 10 mg is used to lower high cholesterol, especially LDL (bad) cholesterol. It may be used alone or together with a statin when cholesterol is not adequately controlled.

How does it work?
It reduces the absorption of cholesterol from the small intestine, helping lower the amount of cholesterol in the blood.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Take it regularly and do not stop treatment without medical advice. If also taking a bile-acid binding medicine, follow the advised time gap between the medicines.

Common side effects
Headache, stomach pain, diarrhoea, tiredness, muscle pain and joint pain may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver disease, kidney disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. If taking it with a statin, liver problems and muscle injury are possible; seek medical advice for severe muscle pain, weakness, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness. Regular cholesterol and liver tests may be recommended.
