What is it used for?
Fenofibrate is used with a healthy diet and lifestyle changes to lower high triglyceride levels and improve abnormal cholesterol levels in the blood.

How does it work?
It helps the body break down and remove triglycerides and other fats from the blood, helping improve the balance of blood lipids.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and follow the instructions on the product label. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. Continue the recommended diet and exercise plan.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and increased liver enzyme levels may occur. Muscle pain or weakness can also occur and should not be ignored.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about liver disease, kidney disease, gallbladder problems, or a history of muscle disorders. Seek medical advice promptly for unexplained muscle pain or weakness, severe stomach pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or dark urine. Tell the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially statins or blood thinners. It is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed.
