What is it used for?
Used to prevent or treat iron and folic acid deficiency, including deficiency-related anaemia when diagnosed by a healthcare professional.

How does it work?
It supplies iron needed to make haemoglobin and healthy red blood cells. Folic acid supports the formation and normal development of red blood cells.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Follow any instructions about taking it with food and spacing it from other medicines.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation, diarrhoea and dark-coloured stools may occur.

Precautions
Do not use it for anaemia caused by something other than iron or folic acid deficiency unless advised by a doctor. Tell the doctor if there is iron overload, a blood disorder, or an allergy to any ingredient.
