What is it used for?
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching. It may also be used to relieve hives (urticaria) and skin itching.

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a substance involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce allergy symptoms and itching.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as directed on the label or by a doctor. Swallow the tablet with water. Avoid taking it with apple, orange or grapefruit juice, as these may reduce its effect. Keep aluminium- or magnesium-containing antacids separate from this medicine as advised by a pharmacist or doctor.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, dizziness and tiredness may occur. Drowsiness is possible but is less common than with some other antihistamines.
