What is it used for?
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching or hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a substance involved in allergic reactions, helping reduce allergy symptoms and itching.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as directed by the doctor or product label. Swallow with water. Avoid taking it with fruit juice, such as apple, orange or grapefruit juice. If using aluminium- or magnesium-containing antacids, ask a pharmacist or doctor how to separate their use from fexofenadine.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, dizziness and mild drowsiness may occur.

Precautions
Tell a doctor or pharmacist about kidney problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding before use. Do not take it if allergic to fexofenadine or any of its ingredients. Seek medical advice if symptoms are severe, persistent or worsening.
