Description:
Fluka 150 Tablet contains Fluconazole, a triazole antifungal agent that acts by inhibiting the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, which is essential for the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane.
This inhibition disrupts membrane formation, leading to fungal cell death.

It is effective against a broad spectrum of fungal pathogens, particularly Candida and Cryptococcus species.

Warnings and Precautions:

Use with caution in hepatic or renal impairment.

Avoid concomitant use with terfenadine, cisapride, or other drugs that may prolong QT interval.

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless prescribed by a physician.

Monitor liver function during prolonged therapy.

Discontinue if rash or allergic reaction occurs.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, dizziness.

Occasional: Elevated liver enzymes, rash.

Rare: Hepatotoxicity, anaphylaxis, QT prolongation, Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
