FONDUM 2.5mg/0.5ml (Fondaparinux sodium Injection)

Composition:

FONDUM Injection contains Fondaparinux Sodium 2.5 mg per 0.5 ml in a sterile prefilled syringe.

Description:

FONDUM 2.5 mg Injection is an anticoagulant used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders. Fondaparinux selectively inhibits factor Xa, thereby preventing clot formation without directly affecting thrombin. It is commonly prescribed for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in patients undergoing orthopedic or abdominal surgery, as well as for the treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Its targeted mechanism provides effective anticoagulation with a predictable response.

Precautions:

The injection should be administered under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with severe renal impairment, active bleeding, bleeding disorders, or low body weight. Regular monitoring for signs of bleeding is recommended. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be only on medical advice. Do not administer intramuscularly.

Adverse Effects:

Possible adverse effects include bleeding, anemia, bruising, injection site reactions, headache, or nausea. Rarely, serious bleeding or allergic reactions may occur.
