What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat certain bacterial infections when prescribed by a doctor. It does not work for viral infections such as common colds or flu.

How does it work?
Cefixime damages the bacterial cell wall, while ofloxacin blocks enzymes bacteria need to grow and multiply. Together, they help kill or stop the growth of susceptible bacteria.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Do not skip doses or stop treatment without medical advice. Take with water and avoid taking antacids or mineral supplements at the same time unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, headache, dizziness, and vomiting may occur.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to cefixime, other cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics, ofloxacin, or related quinolone antibiotics. Seek medical advice for severe or persistent diarrhoea, tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, severe dizziness, mood or nerve-related symptoms, or an allergic reaction. Tell the doctor about kidney problems, seizures, heart rhythm problems, tendon disorders, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Avoid unnecessary exposure to strong sunlight and do not drive if dizzy or less alert.
