What is it used for?
This medicine is mainly used to relieve neuropathic (nerve-related) pain, such as burning, tingling, shooting or electric-shock-like pain caused by diabetic nerve damage, shingles or other nerve conditions.

How does it work?
Gabapentin reduces abnormal pain signals in the nerves. Mecobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that supports normal nerve function and blood-cell formation.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Swallow the tablet/capsule whole with water. Do not stop gabapentin suddenly without medical advice. Avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, blurred vision, unsteadiness, swelling of the hands or feet, and nausea.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about kidney disease, breathing problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Drowsiness and breathing problems may be worse with alcohol, opioids, sleeping medicines or other sedatives. Seek medical help for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, or major mood changes or suicidal thoughts.
