Genmox Cv 625 Tab 10'S (10X10 T) Amoxycillin 500 Mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 Mg By Cadila

What is it used for?
Amoxycillin with clavulanic acid is a prescription antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, such as infections of the ear, sinuses, lungs, skin, urinary tract and teeth. It does not work for viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Amoxycillin kills bacteria by damaging their protective cell wall. Clavulanic acid helps amoxycillin work against bacteria that can otherwise resist it.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and preferably with a meal to reduce stomach upset. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Do not share it or use leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach discomfort, skin rash and oral or vaginal thrush may occur.

Precautions
Do not take this medicine if there has been a serious allergy to penicillin, amoxycillin, other beta-lactam antibiotics or clavulanic acid. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver disease, previous antibiotic-related diarrhoea, or previous jaundice or liver problems with antibiotics. Seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, a severe skin rash, persistent or bloody diarrhoea, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
