Composition:
Gliclazide 80 mg + Metformin 500 mg per tablet.

Uses:
Used to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise, and lifestyle measures alone are not sufficient. Gliclazide increases insulin release, while metformin helps reduce glucose production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin.

How to Use:
Take only as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet with or immediately after a meal, according to your prescribed schedule. Swallow it whole with water unless your doctor advises otherwise. Do not skip meals while taking gliclazide. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Precautions & Warnings:
Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart failure, G6PD deficiency, or a history of low blood sugar. Gliclazide can cause hypoglycaemia, especially when meals are skipped or alcohol is consumed. Metformin may rarely cause lactic acidosis, particularly in people with significant kidney impairment. Inform your doctor before major surgery, prolonged fasting, or imaging procedures involving iodinated contrast.

Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include low blood sugar, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, indigestion, headache, and weight gain. Seek immediate medical attention for severe or persistent low blood sugar, difficulty breathing, unusual weakness, persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, confusion, or other symptoms that may indicate lactic acidosis.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
Gliclazide is generally not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Your doctor may recommend an alternative diabetes treatment.

Storage:
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
