Glimider 3 Tabs (20X10) Glimipride 3 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Glimepiride 3 mg is used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

How does it work?
It helps the pancreas release more insulin, which lowers blood sugar levels.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually with or shortly before the main meal. Do not skip meals after taking it. Do not change the dose or double a missed dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Low blood sugar, dizziness, headache, nausea and weight gain. Low blood sugar may cause sweating, shaking, hunger, weakness or confusion.

Precautions
Use only under medical supervision. Monitor blood sugar regularly. Take care with driving if dizziness or low blood sugar occurs. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being used. Seek urgent help for severe or persistent low blood sugar.
