Description:

Glimikem-1 Tablet contains Glimepiride, an oral hypoglycemic agent belonging to the sulfonylurea class, used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
It helps to lower blood glucose levels by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin and by improving the body’s response to insulin.

Warnings & Precautions:

Risk of hypoglycemia increases with irregular meals, excessive exercise, or alcohol use.

Monitor blood glucose and HbA1c regularly.

Use with caution in elderly, malnourished, or renal-impaired patients.

Avoid alcohol as it may potentiate or weaken the hypoglycemic effect.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Hypoglycemia, dizziness, headache, nausea.

Occasional: Weight gain, visual disturbances, mild GI upset.

Rare: Allergic skin reactions, hepatic dysfunction, hematologic effects.
