Description:

Glimikem-M1-1000 SR Tablet is an oral antidiabetic combination of Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and Metformin (Sustained Release) (a biguanide) used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
It provides complementary glycemic control by enhancing insulin secretion and improving insulin sensitivity, supporting long-term blood sugar regulation.

Warnings & Precautions:

Regular monitoring of blood glucose and HbA1c is necessary.

Assess renal and hepatic function before and during therapy.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake (risk of lactic acidosis).

Suspend use temporarily before contrast imaging or major surgery.

Caution in elderly or malnourished patients due to hypoglycemia risk.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Hypoglycemia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness.

Occasional: Headache, mild rash, dyspepsia.

Rare: Lactic acidosis, hepatic enzyme elevation, hypersensitivity reactions.
