Description:

Glimikem-M1 SR Tablet is an oral antidiabetic medication that combines Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and Metformin SR (a biguanide) for the effective management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
This combination helps to control blood glucose levels by increasing insulin secretion and improving insulin sensitivity, offering a synergistic and sustained glycemic effect.

Warnings & Precautions:

Monitor blood glucose and HbA1c regularly.

Evaluate renal and hepatic function periodically.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake (risk of lactic acidosis).

Use caution in elderly, malnourished, or physically stressed patients.

Discontinue temporarily before radiologic contrast procedures or major surgery.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Hypoglycemia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness.

Less common: Headache, mild rash, dyspepsia.

Rare: Lactic acidosis, hepatic dysfunction, allergic reactions.
