Description:

Glimikem-M2-1000 SR Tablet is an oral antidiabetic combination used for effective management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
It contains Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion, and Metformin (Sustained Release), a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose output and enhances insulin sensitivity.
Together, they help maintain optimal blood glucose levels by targeting multiple mechanisms of glycemic control.

Warnings & Precautions:

Regular blood glucose and HbA1c monitoring recommended.

Periodic renal and hepatic function tests advised.

Use cautiously in elderly, malnourished, or physically weak patients.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake to reduce lactic acidosis risk.

Discontinue temporarily before contrast radiography or major surgery.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Hypoglycemia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, dizziness.

Less common: Metallic taste, headache, mild rash.

Rare but serious: Lactic acidosis, hepatic dysfunction, allergic reactions.
