Description:

Glimikem Nu-2 Tablet contains Glimepiride, a second-generation sulfonylurea used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
It helps lower elevated blood glucose levels by stimulating insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells and improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin, thereby promoting better glucose utilization.

Warnings & Precautions:

Risk of hypoglycemia, especially with irregular meals, prolonged fasting, or excessive exercise.

Regularly monitor blood glucose and HbA1c levels.

Exercise caution in elderly, malnourished, or renal/hepatic-impaired patients.

Alcohol can potentiate or weaken the hypoglycemic effect.

Discontinue during severe stress, infection, surgery, or trauma, and switch to insulin if needed.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Hypoglycemia, headache, dizziness, nausea.

Less common: Weight gain, mild gastrointestinal upset.

Rare: Allergic skin reactions, hepatic enzyme elevation, blood dyscrasias.
