What is it used for?
Glycopyrronium inhalation solution is used regularly to help control symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It helps reduce breathlessness and wheezing but is not a rescue medicine for a sudden breathing attack.

How does it work?
It relaxes the muscles around the airways by blocking muscarinic signals, helping to keep the airways open and make breathing easier.

How to take/use it
Use it only with the prescribed inhalation or nebulizer device and exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not swallow the solution or use it to treat sudden breathlessness. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dry mouth, cough, throat irritation, constipation, headache and blurred vision may occur. Difficulty passing urine can also occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, prostate problems, kidney disease or heart disease. Avoid getting the medicine in the eyes. Seek urgent medical help for sudden worsening breathing, severe eye pain or swelling of the face, lips or throat.
