Composition:
Each 1 ml injection contains Haloperidol Decanoate 50 mg.

Description:
Haloperidol Decanoate is a long-acting antipsychotic injection used for maintenance treatment of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It provides slow and sustained release of Haloperidol, helping maintain symptom control in patients requiring long-term therapy. It is administered intramuscularly at intervals as advised by a physician.

Precautions:
Use with caution in elderly patients, those with cardiovascular disease, liver impairment or a history of seizures. Avoid use in Parkinson’s disease and severe CNS depression. Monitor for extrapyramidal symptoms and prolonged QT interval. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly necessary. Do not administer intravenously.

Adverse Effects:
May cause drowsiness, restlessness, tremors, muscle stiffness, anxiety, weight changes, insomnia, dry mouth and injection site pain. Rarely may cause tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome or cardiac arrhythmias.

Storage:
Store at controlled room temperature below 25°C. Keep protected from light. Do not freeze.
