What is it used for?
L-ornithine L-aspartate is used to help lower high ammonia levels associated with liver disease, including hepatic encephalopathy. It may be prescribed as part of treatment for certain liver-related conditions.

How does it work?
It provides ornithine and aspartate, which help the body convert and remove ammonia through the urea cycle and glutamine formation.

How to take/use it
Use only in the dose and for the duration prescribed by the doctor. Follow the instructions on the product label; if supplied as a powder or granules, prepare it as directed before taking.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and flatulence may occur.
