Composition:

Heparin 5000 IU per vial

Description:

HEPATECH-5000 Vial contains Heparin, an anticoagulant used to prevent and treat blood clots. It is commonly administered in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and during surgical or dialysis procedures where anticoagulation is required. Heparin works by inhibiting clotting factors and reducing the formation of thrombi to maintain proper blood flow.

Precautions:

HEPATECH should be used only under strict medical supervision. Caution is required in patients with bleeding disorders, recent surgeries, severe hypertension, liver disease, or a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. It should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly prescribed. Patients must inform their doctor about all medications, especially anticoagulants, antiplatelets, or NSAIDs, to avoid excessive bleeding risks.

Adverse Effects:

Possible side effects include bleeding, bruising at the injection site, nosebleeds, and gastrointestinal bleeding. Rare adverse reactions include allergic responses, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, elevated liver enzymes, or osteoporosis with prolonged use.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep the vial out of reach of children and do not use if the solution appears discolored or after the expiry date.
