What is it used for?
Used locally to treat certain vaginal infections caused by bacteria and protozoa, including mixed infections. Use only when recommended by a healthcare professional.

How does it work?
Povidone iodine releases iodine that kills a wide range of microorganisms. Ornidazole acts against susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.

How to take/use it
Use only by the route and in the amount directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not swallow. Complete the recommended course unless advised otherwise.

Common side effects
Local burning, irritation, itching, redness or discomfort may occur. Allergic reactions are uncommon.

Precautions
Avoid use if allergic to povidone iodine, iodine or ornidazole. Seek medical advice before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is thyroid disease. Stop using it and seek medical help if severe irritation, swelling, rash or breathing difficulty occurs.
