What is it used for?
Used to make urine less acidic and relieve burning or discomfort during urination. It may also be used as supportive treatment in some kidney stone conditions. It does not treat a bacterial urinary infection by itself.

How does it work?
Disodium hydrogen citrate is converted into bicarbonate in the body, which helps reduce acidity and makes the urine more alkaline.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Measure the liquid carefully using a proper measuring device. Do not use more or for longer than recommended.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, bloating or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Use only with medical advice if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, swelling, or a sodium-restricted diet, as this medicine contains sodium. Seek medical advice for fever, back or side pain, blood in the urine, or urinary symptoms that do not improve, as these may require treatment for an underlying infection or other condition.
