Description

Intaphylline is a bronchodilator combination that uses etophylline (a prodrug of theophylline) and theophylline for sustained release bronchodilation. It relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchial airways and helps manage obstructive airway diseases by improving airflow and reducing bronchospasm.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, arrhythmias, or heart failure.

Avoid in those with peptic ulcer disease or seizure disorders.

Monitor in liver or kidney impairment, as metabolism may be altered.

Avoid high caffeine intake (additive stimulant effect).
