What is it used for?
Used to help relieve breathing difficulty and wheezing caused by asthma and other obstructive airway conditions, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps open the airways and improve airflow.

How does it work?
Etophylline and theophylline relax the muscles around the airways, helping them widen. This makes breathing easier.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the medicine with water and do not take more or more often than advised. Avoid changing the dose or stopping treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, headache, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, trembling and fast or irregular heartbeat.

Precautions
Use only under medical supervision, especially with heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, thyroid problems, liver disease or stomach ulcers.
