Methylprednisolone – 8 mg, Excipients q.s.

Description

Intapred-8 is a synthetic glucocorticoid (corticosteroid) with potent anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and anti-allergic effects. It is used in a variety of conditions where inflammation or immune response needs to be controlled.

Precautions

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration to reduce side-effects. 

Abrupt withdrawal after prolonged use can cause adrenal insufficiency — taper carefully. 

Use cautiously in patients with diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, infections, glaucoma, or peptic ulcer disease. 

Avoid live vaccines while on therapy. 

Monitor bone density during long-term therapy due to risk of osteopenia/osteoporosis.

Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly needed.

Storage

Store below 30 °C. 
Keep in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
Keep out of reach of children.
