What is it used for?
Belladonna plaster is used for temporary relief of local muscle and joint aches, including some rheumatic or nerve-related pain.

How does it work?
It releases belladonna extract through the skin. Belladonna contains substances that can reduce nerve-related pain and muscle spasm in the treated area.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply the plaster to clean, dry, unbroken skin as directed on the product pack or by a healthcare professional. Do not apply it to the eyes, mouth, wounds or irritated skin. Wash hands after applying or removing it.

Common side effects
Skin redness, itching, irritation or a rash at the application site. Stop use if severe irritation occurs.

Precautions
Do not use on broken skin or over large areas. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Belladonna can rarely cause dry mouth, blurred vision, dizziness, fast heartbeat or confusion if absorbed in excess; remove the plaster and seek medical help if these occur. Keep away from children and do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional.
